Summer School 2025

BRSD is excited to be offering summer school from July 2-29, 2025. Courses will be offered online mostly asynchronously, but there will be regular opportunities for synchronous instruction and teacher support. Summer School is being offered with the intent of supporting students to retake courses or pick up missed courses to keep on track for graduation. It is not intended to provide an opportunity to excelerate high school.

Eligible Students

Summer School is open to students who have completed Grades 10-12. Grade 9 students going into grade 10 will be able to take limited courses.

Registration Process

Students are asked to complete the Summer School Request form here. The Request Form will be available until June 6. Courses will be filled on a first come first served basis, so students are encouraged to submit this as soon as possible. Students wanting to register for summer school after this date will need to contact BRACE directly.

Cost

$45/course fee (BRSD students)
$65/course fee (non-BRSD students)

Courses offered (course enrollments will dictate if courses will run):

English: 10-1, 10-2, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2

Social Studies: 10-1, 10-2, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2

Math: 10C, 10-3, 20-1, 20-2, 30-1, 30-2

Science: 14, 24, 30 Biology 20, 30 and Chemistry 20, 30

Phys. Ed 10 (3 credits)

Calm 20 Bundle (6 credit)

Work Experience: 15, 25, 35

CPR & First Aid (2 credits) (online + 1 day in person: July 7, 2025) (available to current grade 9 students)

Safety Bundle: (3 credits) (available to grade 9 students going into grade 10)

Digital Competencies (6 credits) (available to grade 9 students going into grade 10)
