ÉCCHS plays in the very competitive CASAA (Central Alberta Schools Athletic Association) basketball league.
Included in our CASAA league are schools in the 3A category (300-799 students) and the Red Deer schools which are 4A (800+). These schools include Sylvan Lake, Rocky Mountain House, Rimbey, Lacombe, Ponoka, Wetaskiwin, Stettler, Hunting Hills, Notre Dame, Lindsey Thurber, and of course, Camrose.
Our teams travel extensively as Camrose is at the farthest point from the central area of the zone.
The basketball team is also involved in several tournaments during the season traveling to other schools such as Cochrane, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, etc.
There are both boys and girls junior varsity teams made up of grade 9,10 and 11's as well as the senior teams which are made up of grade 11's and 12's and occasionally grade 10's.
The season runs from November 1st until the third week in March.
