Based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (1964), Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka tells the story of Charlie Bucket as his life changes after finding a Golden Ticket.
This tale of self-discovery is told through favourite musical numbers such as “(I’ve Got A) Golden Ticket” and “Pure Imagination” from the 1971 movie.
When four spoiled brats and humble Charlie show up at Willy Wonka’s factory, they are faced with exciting challenges to their personal vices. The audience will cheer for Charlie as he and Grandpa Joe navigate the thrills of Willy Wonka’s imagination and learn to do what is right.
