I am writing to let you know that an individual from Ecole Camrose Composite High School has tested positive for COVID-19 today.
As you are aware, students from our school will be learning at home from November 30 to January 8. However, our staff will continue to be working from the school and we are following all of the health and safety protocols to ensure our school continues to be a safe environment for them.
Parents/guardians of students and staff whom we consider to have been in close contact with the individual who has COVID-19 have been contacted by the school administration and will be quarantining at home for two full weeks.
If you have NOT been contacted, your child has not been identified as a close contact with this individual and is not considered to be at an increased risk for COVID-19.
Please note that our division will follow the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy regulations and will not be sharing any information regarding the specific individual who tested positive.
We remind parents/guardians to monitor their children for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Even if you are not going to school each day, the checklist is helpful in considering whether or not to go out into the community. The Daily COVID-19 Checklist can be found here. As a reminder, if your child has any of the symptoms of illness listed on the daily checklist, please fill out the online Alberta Health Services COVID-19 self-assessment or call Health Link at 811 and keep your child at home.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding. Take good care everyone.
